CODY RECORDS Recording Artist He was born in a San Joaquin Valley town of California and was raised on a ranch in a small country town. He became enamored with country in his teens. He later played guitar in diffrent bands, and while living in Nashville, he had the opportunity to get to know and travel with country stars like Jeannie C. Riley of “Harper Valley P.T.A.” fame. In 1998 he had the chance to meet and befriend country legend Buck Owens, who later recorded a remake of his hit “Excuse Me, I Think I’ve Got a Heartache” with Langley in a rare duet featured on his second CD entitled “David Langley.” David is literally one of a small handful of artists to have this honor,and is reportedly one of the very last to have a duet with the late country music legend. David has also had many radio stations playing many of his records. Other artists Langley has opened for include Dwight Yoakam, John Anderson, John Conlee, Ty Herndon, Mickey Gilley, Rhett Akins, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker and George Strait just to name a few. He writes much of the material he plays in his concerts, and penned seven out of nine tracks from his third CD “Guitars, Livin’ and Lovin’.” “I don’t think I write like anybody else,” Langley said. “I don’t think I really sound like anybody else.
